Qualifying shoot for MATA/ATA Open to all MATA shooters and FSC members. Contact Ron Bunnell at 978-340-2989
Weekly trap shooting. Event is open to FSC members and public guests. Event begins at 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
All firearms behind the firing line will remain unloaded and in a safe condition.
For semi-automatics, the magazines will be removed, slides open and chambers clear.
For revolvers, the cylinders will be open and empty, hammer down.
Weapons on the firing line will remain benched safe and empty with muzzles pointed downrange until directed by the Range officer.
Children will require close supervision.
Safety is everybody’s responsibility.
COURSE OF FIRE:
Course of fire will consist of 3 stages. Stage 1 will be slow fire – 10 rounds in 10 minutes. Stage 2 will be timed fire – 5 rounds in 20 seconds (fired two times). Stage 3 will be rapid fire – 5 rounds in 10 seconds (fired two times). Aggregate course of fire will be 30 rounds.
Targets will be NRA B-16 for slow fire and NRA B-8 for timed and rapid fire. All targets will be placed at a distance of 25 yards.
Shooting will be done in the standing position using one or two handed stance.
Any pistol or revolver may be used with any sights, except those that project an image onto the target.
New shooters are welcome. Open to the public and FSC members looking to learn the basics of trap shooting. No fees , however, donations are welcomed. All guns and ammo are supplied by FSC/Trap Chairman Ron Bunnell. You can contact Ron at 978-340-2989 with any questions.
