Women On the Range is available only to women — it’s a safe and friendly environment whether you’re picking up a gun for the very first time or are just brushing off some dust and need a little refresher. You’ll immediately feel at ease in this full-day clinic, and will be provided with a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate.
Class begins with continental breakfast during registration and introductions followed by a brief explanation and review of our range flag system. We will then break into groups and proceed to your assigned stations for the first 3 events. This will take us to lunch break.
After lunch, which will be provided, participants will return to the assigned stations to complete the last 2 events. The following are the stations and what interaction will be involved under the direction of qualified instructors:
Handguns: Revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
Rifles: Bolt action and semi-automatic rifles
Primitive firearms: Black powder rifles and handguns
Shotguns: Trap shooting with our club experts
Archery: Instruction from members of our archery committee.
All firearms and archery equipment and ammunition/arrows will be provided.
